Asset Coach (Derbyshire)

11/5/2017

Full Time, 40 Hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Derventio Housing Trust as we participate in a national pilot of the Mayday Trust Personal Transition Service (PTS) over the next 3 years. The aim is to build an evidence base of success that can influence policy makers and commissioners.

The post holder will contribute to the pilot by delivering an effective and high quality person-centred coaching service to DHT residents in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and East Staffordshire. The key focus is to coach 50 individuals per year concentrating on their strengths, assets and aspirations so that they move away from homelessness and towards meaningful independent living.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about social justice and embraces diversity. You will have a strong sense of your own identity, self care and emotional well being. You will excel at working with others towards a common goal and believe that people have the right to thrive within their own community. You know about homelessness and what it takes to survive on the streets. You don't like using labels. You will have a 'can do' entrepreneurial approach, be positive and honest, not be afraid to challenge or be challenged, and above all have a good sense of humour. You will also have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

  • Remuneration packages commensurate with level of experience
  • Full time posts are 40 hours per week
  • All candidates must be prepared to undergo a DBS check
  • A valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes is essential
